Pipelines, reports, forms and formulas, in plain words.
The same things you build in Quickbase today. Here is what each takes there, and what it takes when you ask your agent team.
- Pipelines, then Create pipeline
- Pick the trigger: a quote record is updated
- Add a condition: Status is Approved
- Add steps: create the job record, map each field, send the email
- Test it and turn it on
"When a quote is approved, create the job and email the customer a confirmation."
The job is created with its line items, and the email waits for your OK.
- New report on the Jobs table
- Filter: next week, status not Complete
- Choose columns, then group by site and sort by crew
- Save it and add it to a dashboard
"Show next week's open jobs by crew, grouped by site."
The report appears, and you can keep it on your dashboard.
- Add the checklist fields to the Jobs table
- Edit the form and place the fields in a new section
- Add a form rule so a job can't be closed without them
- Check it on the mobile form
"Add a safety checklist to the job form, required before a job can be closed. Crews fill it in on their phones."
The checklist is on the form and the phone view, and jobs can't close without it.
If([Status]="Approved" and [Quote Total]>10000, "Needs director sign-off", "")
"Flag approved quotes over $10,000 for a director's sign-off."
Quotes over the limit are flagged. To change the amount later, you just ask.

The free app review is a call with the people who would do the work. You come away with:
- an honest answer on whether moving is worth it for you, including "stay" if that's right;
- what your Quickbase app would become, and how long it would take;
- a quote, once we have mapped the app.
